死者家属纷纷质疑，“我看到至少40名警力全副武装，却没有任何行动…”、“如果他们有更好的对策，我相信这一切很快就会结束…”、“本来可以做更多，警察只是在外瞎等。”报导指出，目前无法证实这段影片拍摄时间点，且关于是否因员警失职而错过救援时机，相关单位已展开调查进一步釐清真相。
