综合美媒报导，米科斯的女儿坤特洛（Seana
Quintero）日前在推特上贴出一群不速之客的照片，其中可见花盆东倒西歪、地板凌乱还有粪便等，直呼这些秃鹰「毁了我妈妈的阳台」。
报导指出，米科斯过去虽见过神鹫，但一次面对十多隻罕见鸟类仍傻眼不已，「我走到阳台，口中边嚷嚷『好啦！派对结束了』，边挥舞拐杖赶鸟」，并称有些识时务者眼见瞄头不对连忙飞走，部分不见棺材不掉泪的则是看到她掏出水管才想到落跑。
不过，米科斯认为，往好处想，多隻加州神鹫齐聚她家，「这是一个好消息」，也欢迎牠们的到来，「但我现在比较希望牠们离开我家」。
报导提到，神鹫不仅是濒危物种，也是世界上最大飞鸟之一，展翅翱翔天际时，宽达9英呎（约2.7公尺），且可重达逾20磅（约9公斤）。官方透露，1970年代野外仅有数十隻，也因数量稀少，民众可以透过发出噪音或用水驱离，但不准伤害牠们。
