欧洲人权法院（ECHR）今天判决，强制接种疫苗可被视为民主社会所必需，在先前捷克家庭就儿童强制接种疫苗提起诉讼后，这是一项里程碑式判决。
法院在判决书中说，“这些措施可以被视为‘民主社会所必需’”，并说捷克卫生政策符合儿童的“最佳利益”。
判决书表示：“目标必须是透过接种疫苗或群体免疫，来保护每个儿童免受严重疾病危害。”
因此，法院判决此举没有违反欧洲人权公约（European Convention on Human
Rights）有关尊重私人生活权利的第8条规定。
