一名救援人员说，黎巴嫩搜救队今天在贝鲁特住宅区一栋倾倒建筑物的瓦砾堆中侦测到生命迹象。这栋建筑在贝鲁特附近港口8月4日发生大爆炸后倒塌。
黎巴嫩国家通讯社报导，搜救队已在满目疮痍的贝鲁特杰美兹（Gemmayze）地区一栋遭摧毁的建筑物下侦测到移动迹象。
救援人员毕塔（Eddy Bitar）在现场对记者表示：「这些（呼吸和脉搏讯号）与温度感测器意味存在生命的可能性。」
贝鲁特港区8月4日因2750吨硝酸铵大爆炸受到重创，约190人丧命，另有6000多人受伤，约莫30万人无家可归。
媒体报导，倘若仍有人还活著的迹象很明显，搜救工作可能需要耗费数小时。
