据报道，1996年当时34岁的小学女老师勒都诺性侵年仅12岁的男学生富拉劳，被法院判定儿童性侵罪罪名成立，从1997年入狱一直服刑至2004年。
勒都诺从监狱被释放后，当时已成年的富拉劳向法庭请求法官允许他们见面。尽管对勒都诺的禁止令被撤销，但这位羞愧的女老师仍然是华盛顿州登记在案的性犯罪者。
勒都诺和富拉劳于2005年结婚。他们一直保持着婚姻关系，直到2017年富拉劳提出离婚。
