今年6月，赫尔南德斯多次辱骂亚裔并发表种族主义言论。该系列视频在网上疯传。
据NBC的报道，据悉该名妇人并没有因为种族主义言论被起诉，她因在另一起冲突中，试图对他人进行身体攻击。3日，托伦斯市地检办公室以殴打罪提起刑事诉讼，并签发了逮捕令。
该名妇人辱骂亚裔的事件包括：6月10日，她在托伦斯市（Torrance）的一个公园内，连续辱骂一名亚裔女性称：“你个xx，滚回你TMD亚洲国家”!
“这不是你的地方。这里不是你的家。我们不希望你在这里。”
6月11日，该妇人模仿亚裔的口音，让一名亚裔男子和他的儿子“滚回家”，并使用侮辱性词语。6月12日数百人聚集在威尔逊公园（Wilson
