Haplessly horny high-school Archie Ands (who has a friend named Mughead, in case you missed the refence) suffs a sies of misadventures, such as popping a bon during a basketball game, getting dragged through a cold show by naked cheleads, and peeping at his nude sist while she shaves h armpits. Filled with in-jokes, movie refences, bleeped-out dialogue, and borscht-belt groans, HOT TIMES was first appreciated by Jonathan Rosenbaum in a 1976 review that compared the film to Preston Sturges and R. Crumb and called it “alive, goofy, and unpredictable.”
